Star of Dolphin Tale dies aged 16 after battle with gastrointestinal infection.
Tests confirmed earlier in the week that the animal, which starred in the 2011 film and it's 2014 sequel, was battling a gastrointestinal infection which unfortunately worsened.The bottle nose dolphin died on Thursday shortly before undergoing a potential life-saving procedure, according to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where she was homed.
