Trip is back in very Short Treks!
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Star Trek's new series of animated shorts, very Short Treks, will be Connor Trinneer's comeback as Commander Trip Tucker after Star Trek: Enterprise was canceled 18 years ago. Trip, a fan-favorite character, was killed off in the series finale of Star Trek: Enterprise in 2005, a creative decision that angered fans and remains a sore spot nearly two decades later.
Paramount+ announced that the first installment of very Short Treks will launch on Star Trek Day, September 8th, at 1pm EST/10am PST exclusively on StarTrek.com and the Star Trek YouTube channel. A new episode will follow every Wednesday until October 4th.
Connor Trinneer playing Trip Tucker again, even if it's just a voiceover, is a pleasant surprise. Trinneer and fellow Enterprise cast member Dominic Keating, who played Lt. Malcolm Reed, have found success in the podcast space by hosting The Shuttlepod Show, where they interview other Star Trek luminaries and reminisce about their years on the set of Enterprise.
