Republican lawmakers Monday for"increasingly outlandish claims" that Ukraine meddled in the 2016 election, calling it"a lie spread by Vladimir Putin."
Hale, who also testified in the impeachment inquiry, told lawmakers Tuesday that he agreed with Fiona Hill, the president's former top Russia analyst, whothat the theory was"a fictional narrative being propagated by the Russian security services themselves." “I saw no evidence from our intelligence community nor from our representatives today from the Department of State that there is any evidence of any kind that suggests Ukraine interfered in our elections. We have ample evidence that Russia interfered in our elections," he said.
