Police sources say two people were shot and one suspect is in custody after shots were fired at the park Saturday night.
DALLAS — The State Fair of Texas at Fair Park is being evacuated Saturday night after a reported shooting, police say.
Fair sources have told WFAA that three people were shot, but no one was killed, and that one suspect is in custody.Dallas Snr. Cpl. Melinda Gutierrez said that at about 7:45 p.m. police responded to the shooting. Preliminary investigation found one man shot at another man. All three victims have non-life-threatening injuries she said. The suspect ran from the scene but was later taken into custody. A gun was also recovered.
The individuals involved in this have all been identified and the investigation is ongoing, she said. The relationship between the two man is not known."It’s one thing to have a right to bear arms, it’s another to have legislation, like permit-less carry, that makes it easier for senseless acts of gun violence like this to be carried out in our state," Bazaldua wrote in the tweet.
