State prison officials detain woman who walked away from San Diego reentry facility [Breaking]
A woman who was serving her prison sentence at a San Diego community reentry program went missing for about a day before authorities took her back into custody Monday morning, prison officials said.
After discovering Drochak was gone, staff from the reentry program alerted state officials and local law enforcement agencies were notified to be on the lookout, prison officials said.Investigators from the state corrections department took Drochak into custody again around 7 a.m. Monday in the city of Lancaster.
Drochak was serving a nine-year sentence for first-degree robbery. She was transferred to the Linda Vista reentry program in December 2021.
