Steve Harvey Announces Wrong Miss Universe Costume Winner
-- A rep for the contest says Philippines actually WAS the winner of the contest, saying,"As part of the broadcast, we also featured Miss Universe Malaysia Shweta Sekhon's national costume. Miss Sekhon wasn't aware we'd be announcing Philippines first, so she jumped the gun when Mr. Harvey started with that news ... no mistakes regarding the national costume contest winner were made by him, the prompter or production.
The woman then grabbed the mic from Steve, and corrected him, saying she was actually representing Malaysia.
