A guaranteed income program in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will process its next payment to recipients in just nine days. The payment is a part of the Minneapolis Guaranteed Basic Income Pilot, which began in June 2022.

A total of 200 households were selected to receive payments from this program, all of whom can spend the $500 payments in whatever way suits them best, according to the city's website.
About a third of households receiving money from this program have just one person in their household.
