Stimulus update: Direct Christmas bonus checks worth $1,000 being sent out today
This bonus for employees at Anne Arundel County Public Schools is a payment that received the full backing of the board of education. The money will be prorated based on an employee’s full-time equivalency, and it will be sent to all permanent employees aside from those on a leave of absence by Dec. 16, the school system said.
“No school system can be great without great people,” Superintendent of Schools Mark Bedell wrote in a letter to staff. “As I have said before, the work you are doing in the face of some stiff challenges is incredible. No matter your role in our school system, our students benefit every day from your dedication and passion. Please don’t ever forget that.
