KIRO 7 News StaffSNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A section of U.S. Highway 2 has reopened after crews assessed and removed hazardous trees damaged by the Bolt Creek Fire on Sunday, according to the Washington Department of Transportation.

The roadway was closed in both directions from mileposts 46 to 49 beginning at 12 p.m. until about 2 p.m. OPEN: Crews are finished with their work on US 2 for the day and the road has reopened. As this remains an active fire additional closures are possible. Please check the travel map before you head out.
