Samsung has slashed the price of its current flagships in a series of surprise discounts. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Book 360 and Tab S8+ are all cheaper.
The bad news is that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 haven’t been discounted. We may have to wait until August, when the next generation of Samsung foldables lands, before we see any significant price cuts. Even without a discount Samsung does have some of the best trade-in prices if you absolutely want to buy one of the company’s foldables right now.
Samsung is also four releases ahead of Google when it comes to foldable phones and that experience is important for complex technology. First generation technology can be hit or miss and Google has a history of device device defining problems, so let the dust settle before making a decision on which new phone to buy.
