Denver officers arrested a man connected to a fatal Thursday night shooting that killed one and injured another Saturday.
Just before 2 a.m. on Thursday, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the City Park West neighborhood, near the area of East 16th Avenue and North Marion Street.
According to a Saturday news release from the Denver police department, when police officers arrived on the scene, they found two victims and transported them to a nearby hospital. One, 42-year-old Kenneth Watkins, later died from his injuries. The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner ruled Watkins’ death as a homicide caused by a gunshot wound.
