A bank robbery suspect who barricaded himself inside an Arlington Wells Fargo branch with five patrons and employees was arrested after a standoff Tuesday, authorities said.
that officers were dispatched to investigate a “report of an armed robbery” in the 3100 block of Washington Boulevard at 3:09 p.m. The suspect, they said, had entered the bank, “implied he had a weapon” and demanded money. He then walked behind the counter, authorities said.

Police identified the suspect as Oscar Gonzalez Allarenja, 30, of Durham, N.C. They said he was charged with bank robbery and abduction, and was being held without bond Tuesday evening in the Arlington County Detention Facility.
