A suspect was shot by Dallas police after gunfire injured an officer and a K-9 in Pleasant Grove early Friday morning, police say.
About 9:45 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a family violence call at a home in the 2900 block of Cypress Avenue, near Briggs Street, where they found two people had been shot. They were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive, according to police. About 2:30 a.m. Friday, authorities were searching for the suspected gunman, who had run into a nearby wooded area, when the suspect shot at an officer and his K-9, police said.
The officer returned fire and struck the suspect, police said. No additional information about the suspect or their condition was immediately available.Email Address
