Utah County deputies searching for assault suspect Yosvany-Armando Cruz-Lopez, "Gio Cruz." Yosvany-Armando Cruz-Lopez, 44, also known as Gio Cruz, was arrested by deputies from the Utah County Sheriff's Office on the night of Oct. 16, just before midnight.
She further detailed an incident from the previous night, on Oct. 13, where Cruz-Lopez allegedly used a rope or cord to strangle her, leaving her struggling to breathe. Upon arriving in the area, officials spotted a tractor-trailer they believed Cruz might be in. However, after a thorough search, it was confirmed that he was not in the area.
