The Everman game continued on without further threats after the suspects were stopped and detained on their way to the stadium.
PUBLISHED 6:05 PM CDT Sep. 17, 2022EVERMAN, Texas — The imminent threat at an Everman High School homecoming game resulted in three arrests.
Everman High School's Friday night lights were underway when a "credible and imminent threat" raised concerns among the community. Local police received the tip that an individual was on their way to the game with the intent of using a firearm they had purchased that same day. According to an email sent to parents by the school district, the suspects were targeting an Everman student who was attending the game.
Police later spotted a vehicle matching the description heading toward the football game. An AR pistol and a 60-round magazine were found in the vehicle. The suspects were detained shortly after authorities received the tip. Three teens were arrested and face charges of unlawful carrying of a firearm in a prohibited place. They're currently in custody of the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.
