During a week of bad abortion rights takes online, take a second to enjoy Eric Swalwell vs. Susan Sarandon.
The replies to that tweet were filled with people pointing out the obvious: Democrats control Congress and the White House. Users reiterated that Swalwell should try speaking with Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, whose opposition to removing the Senate filibuster has been a perennial roadblock to Democratic initiatives for the last 18 months. Also, users said, simply voting harder does nothing for folks in red states where access to the ballot box has been severely restricted.
