Sysco reaches agreement over alleged hiring discrimination at New Braunfels, Lewisville warehouses

Two Texas divisions of the food distribution giant have settled discrimination claims with the Department of Labor.SAN ANTONIO — Sysco Corp. has reached agreements with the U.S. Department of Labor over allegations the company potentially discriminated against 1,168 women and Black men applying for jobs at its New Braunfels and Lewisville warehouses.

The number of jobs reflects how many people should have been hired if not for the discrimination, said Department of Labor spokesperson Chauntra Rideaux.
