Late on Jan. 2, Tana shared the news that the former YouTube couple is "taking a break" from married life. "I’m happy to still be able to sit with Jake and laugh as we do this- but for right now we both are taking a break to focus on our own very crazy lives," she wrote. "I’ll never know what the future holds and i will always love Jake and everything we did.
Jake also posted the same image with his own thoughts on the separation, writing, "We’re literally laughing at how crazy and stupid the past couple months have been and cracking jokes at how silly this all seems...I wouldn’t change anything that happened.. we’re best friends and right now it’s best for us to focus on our lives & see what the future holds."
With the end of a marriage comes the inevitable separation of the assets: Tana revealed that she's getting the Lamborghini, while Jake is taking custody of Thor, their dog. There's no word on what else the couple might divvy up, but rest assured, followers of the couple have their own parting gift — the eternal video memory of a wedding that reportedly featured a mosh pit, broken glass, and "mass chaos.
News of the break comes after much of the couple's time together was plagued with rumors that the relationship . At one point, Tana had even said the nuptials were done as "content," but she later explained her comment, blaming its appearance on the fact that her MTV series,, was filmed before the wedding. "I know that things have moved so fast, are unconventional, and confusing, but i love jake. i truly do.... i hate that it’ll probably always come with owing people some explanation especially with so many things coming out like the show ...
