Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie is officially coming to theaters, and the concert film could break a major box office record from 2011 if it does hit $100 million at the box office. The Eras Tour began in March 2023 and is now in the midst of an international leg before the tour is expected to conclude in November 2024. With record-breaking ticket sales and unprecedented demand, Swift decided to make her latest tour more accessible to those unable to get tickets.

The Eras Tour marks the singer-songwriter's sixth official tour, and several have spawned concert movies. Granted, past concert films such as Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour Live and Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour were exclusively released through streaming platforms.
While Justin Bieber's Never Say Never movie holds the record with $73 million US earnings and $99 million worldwide earnings , Michael Jackson's This Is It was technically higher. The 2009 release hit $267 million worldwide due to the $189 million international push . However, This Is It was never truly considered a traditional concert movie and instead seen as a documentary featuring interviews and backstage looks into Jackson's concert preparations.
Could Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Movie Make Over $100 Million At The Box Office? To Justin Bieber's benefit, the Never Say Never movie release was also international. Currently, The Eras Tour movie is only being released in North America. While Swift's concert movie could overtake Never Say Never's $73 million domestic box office record, it will be interesting to see if it could break the $100 million mark.
The demand and presales for Taylor Swift even bumped The Exorcist: Believer from its October 13th release, proving other releases expect Swift to blow box office competition out of the water. Without tough competition on same-day release, Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour theatrical release has an easier path to achieving box office records.
