In the closing episode of Ted Lasso season 3, after Roy and Jamie get into a fight over the affections of Keeley , she decides to prioritize herself over getting into a relationship with either of them. Although the trio is still on good terms, it's not quite the typical ending that some viewers might've envisioned.

As for Roy and Keeley, I have known couples who seemed perfect together, and then suddenly find they broke up. People who haven’t work on their sh*t can sometimes find that they lose something they wish they’d kept. In this way, Roy’s story with Keeley is parallel to Nate’s with AFC Richmond. IMO, IMO.
Ted Lasso Can Still Do Something Interesting With Roy, Keeley & Jamie The future of Ted Lasso season 4 is not currently known, though there is some speculation that the story could continue without Sudeikis in the lead role. If that happens, then the Apple TV+ dramedy could explore something more interesting than a typical love triangle. It could be both played for laughs, and with a lot of sincerity, if Keeley realizes that she has feelings for both men and has to reconcile with that.
If it's the case that Ted Lasso season 4 happens, with Roy, Jamie, and Keeley still presented as prominent characters, there are ways of resuming their story in a way that doesn't prioritize conflict and clichés that treat Keeley as a prize to be fought over and won. The chemistry between Temple, Goldstein, and Dunster is too good to be reduced to that.
