Playing Keeley on 'Ted Lasso' taught Juno Temple to be kinder to herself. 'She really stopped me going down some pretty dark wormholes.'
Actor Juno Temple fell asleep on her couch while watching the Emmy nominations broadcast last month. She found out that she’d received a nod for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series only when she was woken up by an incoming FaceTime call from her agents. Temple, 32, plays Keeley in the Apple TV+ show, about an American football coach who’s hired to coach a British football team overseas, as part of a plan to sabotage the team by the former owner’s ex-wife .
“She’s grown by having relationships with people around who see the potential in her that she might not have seen,” says Temple, who talks quickly and with a warmth and enthusiasm that’s not unlike Keeley’s.
