An over-the-air update claims to have fixed the problem, owners of potentially affected EVs will be notified anyway
NHTSA announced a recall for certain 2021-2023 Tesla Model X vehicles due to a problem with the braking system. The SUV's electronics may be unable to detect low brake fluid levels, leading to not displaying a warning light to the driver. According to the agency, the potential number of affected Model X units is 54,676, coming from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years.

This update corrects the vehicle controller's threshold range so it can correctly detect low brake fluid levels.
