A group of fishermen in Texas caught a 271-pound alligator gar that was 7 feet, 11 inches long, according to a Facebook post from South Texas Bowfishing, a guided fishing business.

A group of fishermen in Texas caught a 271-pound alligator gar that was 7 feet, 11 inches long last week. Scott Meshell, who runs South Texas Bowfishing, told Fox News Digital that his three customers – LG Selvidge, Tim Selvidge and John Jackson – caught the gar on July 17.
