Two are dead and more than a dozen children have been injured after a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas,The school district reported an"active shooter" situation and asked parents to avoid the campus earlier Tuesday.
Police are expected to hold a press conference soon to release further details. Law enforcement were on scene at that time, CISD said, as the district asked parents to avoid the campus. Students were being transported to the nearby civic center for pickup. "Parents are asked to pick up students at the regular dismissal times at the child's campus," CISD later posted around 4 p.m."There will be no bus transportation. Officers will be on site to escort students to the parents cars. Parents please be patient as lines will be long."
There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary. Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered it will be shared.
