I’d also like to think that Warner Bros.’ surprisingly spoiler-free marketing campaign, including total silence on the best superhero movie plot twist since ’s Mandarin reveal, may goose post-debut legs as kids who missed it last weekend might catch up this weekend. I’ve long argued that when you know you can open the movie without giving away the whole movie, keeping stuff out of the campaign can lead to longer legs and stronger word-of-mouth via the element of surprise.
