Two of Chicago’s most iconic landmarks were vandalized late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Cloud Gate, commonly referred to as “The Bean,” and the Cancer Survivors’ Wall were tagged with spray-painted graffiti. The Bean is located in the city’s Millennium Park while the wall is located in Maggie Daley Park. Authorities say the seven suspects parked on Lower Wacker Drive and then began spray-painting several areas of the Maggie Daley Park, including the Cancer Survivors’ Wall, around 11:58 p.m. Monday night, NBC Chicago reported.
Then the group moved to Millennium Park at around 12:07 a.m. where they tagged “The Bean,” benches and other areas of the park, according to the local NBC station. The suspects were arrested a short time later.Officers on the scene told NBC Chicago that the seven individuals in police custody are all adults and are a part of the “35th Street Crew,” a gang of “known taggers.
