This portable coffee maker brews coffee on the go
, I accepted a prototype unit of the BrüMachen so that I too, could brew coffee on the go. It's a fairly simple device with a singular purpose, so this shouldn't be too hard.
Thankfully the first of these flaws with the prototype are already being addressed before I even received the unit. First, the lid pops up on a hinge and while the Kickstarter shows a gif of someone drinking out of the brewer, it's nearly impossible or at least super awkward with the lid popping up. It hits you in the face. Final units will have some sort of direct access to your coffee without having to open the lid. Here's a video of coffee brewing.
While the BrüMachen isn't intended to be used while driving, if you give people the ability to brew coffee while driving, they are going to do it. It is intended for brewing coffee in the car, at the work-site, or otherwise while not at home and with the intent of saving money and time. It heats and brews in about five minutes and is like having a Keurig machine in your car, but with a much smaller form factor.
