Prime Video drops the first trailer for The Burial, a new drama starring Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones releasing in October 2023.
. The film sees a down-on-his-luck funeral homeowner enlist help from a charismatic lawyer to sue a major funeral company over a contract dispute.“Inspired by true events, when a handshake deal goes sour, funeral homeowner Jeremiah O’Keefe enlists charismatic, smooth-talking attorney Willie E. Gary to save his family business,” the official synopsis reads.
Based on a 1999 New Yorker article of the same name by Jonathan Harr, The Burial features a story by Doug Wright who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Betts. Foxx, Celine Rattray, Trudie Styler, Datari Turner, Janette Kahn, Adam Richman, and Bobby Shriver all serve as producers.
