Popcorn lovers can smile again. The Chagrin Falls Popcorn Ball Drop will celebrate its 10th drop this New Year’s Eve.
Eventgoers will head to Chagrin Falls Township Hall and can enjoy warming up with hot chocolate and cookies from 10:30 to 11:30 pm, the popcorn shop’s news release said.
Event organizer Tom Florkiewicz and Dewey Forward, the owner of the Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop, will co-host the event, along with Jan Jones, a reporter in the crowd. The unique popcorn creation had to undergo a significant update after “being ravaged by a community of raccoons at its storage place in Bill Davis’s Newbury Barn,” the release said.
As in previous years, Jupiter will be displayed at the Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop from December 15 to December 29 before being hoisted up the Village flag pole.
