Warning! Spoilers ahead for Black Adam #6!While Black Adam may be one of the more powerful people in the DC Universe, the Justice League has found an interesting way to keep him restrained. Black Adam #6 reveals the two heroes capable of subduing a former Champion of Shazam.
It's the responsibility of the Justice League to make sure that they can properly respond to any potential threat to the Earth. Whether it's an alien invasion, an army of demons, or a mad supervillain, the League keeps the world safe with a creative application of their unique powers. But some forces, such as fellow Justice League member Black Adam, require a bit more thought.
Justice League's Black Adam Plan Is Their Best Contingency It turns out the entire thing was a way of assessing Black Adam’s fitness for remaining on the Justice League. Of course, someone as principled as Adam would never voluntarily submit to being judged by others. So when it came to setting up a scenario for the team to properly analyze Black Adam, the two best suited to the job were a tech genius and one of the DCU’s most powerful psychics.
Though it isn't shown how exactly Steel and Martian Manhunter set up their trap, it’s not hard to guess how they did it. J’onn J’onzz is easily able to get in the minds of most people and make them sleep or experience visions. The once potential Superman replacement, Steel, however was crucial to keeping Adam in his altered state. Steel managed to create one of the most intense simulations, with J’onn using just enough of his powers to keep Black Adam from questioning his reality too much.
