In the pages of WildC.A.T.s, the titular team is now on the run from their former masters in the Halo Corporation, which has been taken over by the Court of Owls. But Justice League stalwarts Batman and Black Canary have also set their sights on the WildC.A.T.s, seeing them as a threat that must be dealt with — and fast.
In WildC.A.T.s #10 by Matthew Rosenberg, Stephen Segovia, Tom Derenick, Elmer Santos, and Ferrin Delgado, team members Maxine, Zealot, and Caitlin Fairchild are taking a limo ride when their robotic driver informs them someone is blocking the road — and then hits a light pole. The three WildC.A.T.s learn that Batman, Black Canary, and Arsenal are the roadblocks, and these three former League members are gunning for them. The three almost have the WildC.A.T.
Black Canary begrudgingly admits the WildC.A.T.s are "good" at what they do, but they are also "becoming a problem." Batman replies that "every team has a weak link," which sets the stage for a showdown between the League and the WildC.A.T.s.The WildC.A.T.s Have Been Through a Lot Lately The WildC.A.T.s, created by Jim Lee and Brandon Choi, were one of the most popular superhero teams of the early 1990s.
Now the WildC.A.T.s have another threat to worry about: Batman and the rest of the Justice League. The team’s recent actions have made them outlaws and attracted the attention of Earth’s superheroic community. The WildC.A.Ts are used to flying under the radar — the "C" stands for "covert" — so finding themselves in Batman’s cross-hairs is a change-up.
Can the Justice League Defeat the WildC.A.T.s? Batman and Black Canary both acknowledge that the WildC.A.T.s are serious threats and must be dealt with. Batman is looking for the team’s weakest link to exploit, and it's only a matter of time before he finds it — unless the WildC.A.T.s continue to make a mockery of Batman and his allies. The Justice League may currently be disbanded, but it's only a matter of time before the iconic team reforms. With DC positioning the WildC.A.T.
