An elaborate Orange County estate whose owner made a fortune selling long-lasting lipstick is coming to the market for $49.95 million

Joni Rogers-Kante developed LipSense, a durable lip color, in the late 1990s. In 2017, she and her husband Ben Kante paid $12.5 million for the house, records show. The couple then spent “tens of millions” of dollars to customize the property, said listing agent Tim Smith of the Smith Group of Coldwell Banker.
Located in the Shady Canyon neighborhood of Irvine, Calif., the seven-bedroom, Mediterranean-style house is nearly 13,000 square feet and is decorated with ornate millwork and upholstered walls. Designed for hosting parties for up to 300, it comes with a catering kitchen and wood-beam loggia off the great room, Mr. Smith said.
