Although Rose was unable to go to this weekend's Comic-Con in San Diego,teaser trailer. The clip doesn't reveal all that much about the show other than the signature dark aesthetic of most Batman-related productions, but the message it sends isn't dark at all; it's actually pretty upbeat. It starts with a tattoo artist making goofily sexist design recommendations to his female clients. "How 'bout a butterfly? A pink one," he says. "Or I could do a unicorn.
But they — and an influx of other clients of a varying gender — all hand him the design they're set on getting tattooed: the Batwoman symbol. At one point, Rose, playing Batwoman's public face, Kate Kane, comes into the tattoo shop and remarks in her charming Australian accent, "Busy night tonight," to which the artist replies, "Everybody in here wants the same thing.
"Growing up watching TV, I never saw somebody on TV that I could identify with, let alone a superhero," Rose said during ainterview in 2018. "I've always had this saying — well, not me, Oscar Wilde — which isb 'be yourself because everyone else is taken,' and so I always lived by that motto. And then the second motto when I came into the industry was, 'be the person you needed when you were younger'...
