As food chains struggle to keep shelves stocked, a new normal has settled over the once-routine grocery run.
In New York City, shoppers are flocking to Chinatown where stores are still relatively well stocked. In Sydney, older shoppers are waking up early for a dedicated seniors’ session—and being carded at the door. In Lisbon, security guards are dishing out hand sanitizer and gloves and asking customers to wait for a chance to get in the door.
