The delegates from the State of Very Online voiced their approval in the form of quips, japes and GIFs.
The endorsements come as a capper to a full overhaul of the Times’ opinion section, which included a taped, borderline-reality TV aspect to the selection. While it is understandable that “the paper of record” may want to shake things up a bit and modernize, the peculiarities inherent in their decision came with no shortage of criticism.
