A new image from the Conjuring Universe sequel The Nun 2 shows returning character Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) in a terrifying situation.
A new image from The Nun 2 shows a returning character in a dire situation. The upcoming movie will be the ninth film in the Conjuring Universe, which began with James Wan's The Conjuring in 2013. It is a sequel to 2018's The Nun, which followed Father Burke , novitiate Sister Irene , and their local guide Frenchie as they discover a demonic nun is haunting a secluded Romanian monastery.
The image shows Farmiga returning as Sister Irene, wearing a full nun's habit. She is surrounded by a circle of nun's habits that appear to be empty, though one or more of them likely contains the entity that she thought she defeated back during the events of the original movie.
