The late Clyde"Smitty" Smith was successful in two lines of business. First, he built a chain of Arizona supermarkets. Then after selling that business in the 1980s, he moved to the Texas Hill Country, where he founded and built the Tapatio Springs golf resort.A sprawling Mediterranean-style estate he and his wife owned from 2008 until 2013 in the Dominion recently hit the market for just under $3 million, and it features an array of extravagances.
Multiple archways and rustic bared timbers add dramatic touches to the 8,200-square-foot home, which also featured a two-story study and its own gym. A covered patio with both a fireplace and outdoor kitchen overlook the pool, which comes with multiple water features.
