We tend to lie to ourselves in order to avoid having to face tough realities. If your job isn't the right job for you anymore, you may be telling yourself one or more of these fibs rather to avoid having to job hunt. Do any of these sound familiar?

Everybody feels more comfortable in an environment they know, versus one they don't."I don't like the job, but at least I'm used to it" may be the worst reason possible to stay in a place that sucks your life force away. Life is all about learning.Anybody who's more than a year or two away from retirement is not too old to change jobs.Yes, of course! There is age discrimination and a hundred other kinds of discrimination.
As you let yourself imagine how much better your life would be in a healthier workplace, your mojo will gradually return.That"aha!" is not just a powerful insight. It's also fuel. It will power you to take one step on your pathYou can write about your dream job. Write about the things you love to do. Let your imagination run free! You have to envision your brilliant future first, before you can begin to step into it.
