The new Ultimate Universe’s heroes have a mission to fix the world and bring back the heroes that one villain stopped from ever existing.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Contains spoilers for Ultimate Universe #1!Marvel’s new Ultimate Universe is currently lacking many classic heroes, but its new Avengers team might have the answer, setting the stage for very different hero origins in this new universe. With a mandate to empower this world’s superheroes, Tony Stark and his new team are ready to put things back into their right place.
Introduced in the miniseries Ultimate Invasion the new Ultimate Universe is Earth-6160, an Earth that should be similar to the mainstream Marvel Universe, Earth-616. However, thanks to the Maker, the evil Reed Richards of the original Ultimate Universe, Earth-6160 has barely any superheroes in the modern day.
The Maker has used time travel to capture, kill and/or de-power hundreds of heroes, turning Earth-6160 into his own plaything; a world ruled by a secretive council of supervillainous world leaders under his leadership. The New "Avengers" Want to Repower this Universe's Heroes Now, the one-shot Ultimate Universe #1 has revealed how many of this universe’s heroes could get their powers, and it’s all thanks to Earth-6160’s fledgling "Avengers" team. Ultimate Universe #1 sees the yet-unnamed group, under the leadership of Tony Stark, break into the Maker’s Latverian fortress to steal his catalysts.
The key difficulty in doing this is the Maker’s council of villains and his eventual return. In Ultimate Invasion #4, the Maker is trapped inside his hermetically sealed base, the City, and will be locked there for two years. This gives a countdown for Tony Stark’s team, who only manage to steal some hero catalysts. They have two years to rally new superheroes and potentially defeat the Maker’s council.
