Big news out of the ongoing court case between former Walking Dead showrunner and AMC. The case, which had Frank Darabont claiming he was improperly paid on profits from the series, has now resulting in aThis was announced in an SEC filing, and neither AMC nor Darabont have commented on it yet.
Part of the deal buys Darabont out offuture profits relating to TWD as a series outside of some shared streaming revenue for TWD and Fear, so all this won’t happen again., and while that’s not profit, it does say that $200 million is not about to bankrupt them or anything. They have a similar suit still ongoing with Robert Kirkman, creator of the Walking Dead comics who also wants to be paid more, though AMC says this recent Darabont decision doesn’t change that ongoing case at all.
