Mike White already has some plans for the next installment of TheWhiteLotus.
You may still be unpacking the finale of season two, but it’s already time to start planning the next vacation—because HBO is taking us on another dream trip to one of the White Lotus resorts across the world. The third season ofwas announced just halfway through season two, but now that we’ve finally wrapped up the Sicilian adventure, it’s time to start thinking about the third installment.
During the finale, Daphne makes a toast at their final dinner, saying “Next year, the Maldives!” It’s possible White is dropping an Easter egg, which would also mean the complicated foursome of Harper, Ethan, Cameron, and Daphne could return for another swingers vacation.The only people to make the jump from season one to season two were Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya and her husband, Greg, portrayed by Jon Gries. Of course, the chances of Tanya coming back were completely eviscerated in the finale.
For now, though, White needs some time to chill. He recently told Katie Couric that he finished the finale just days before it aired, and now, he’s looking for a little break. “I need to reboot a little bit,” he said on . “I don’t have a lot of gas in the tank. So I need to figure out how to unplug and refresh or something.”
