A department chain that used to have 700 stories is coming back after 20 years.

It’s been decades since many across the country said goodbye to Ames Department Store when it went out of business in 2002, but now, the discount store may breathe new life again. In an announcement on the Ames website, a message teased a possible return of the department stores in states including Pennsylvania. For those who may have scored their first job there, the thought of the department store making a comeback is sure to bring back fond memories.
