STORY is Macy's"narrative driven retail concept" that supports small business brands, which is great! But these plates? Not so much. Despite Macy's pulling the product from their stores, the company that created them, Pourtions, still has them listed online for $9.50 a pop. The issue is that their entire business plan is concentrated on this problematic concept. Their brand is about creating"a humorous + healthy way to watch what you eat + drink," but their most recent design feels like a recipe for unhealthy body image. No thanks.to respond to the controversy and apologized for the misleading message.
