Simone and Shari Cumberbatch, two sisters from New York, both have impeccable timing. On July 3, Simone headed to Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, NY, to have
. Little did she know, her sister, Shari, just so happened to go into labor at the same time, at the same hospital. But the biggest coincidence of all? July 3 was their father's 70th birthday.."When I realized it was real, I said, 'This is going to be a good thing.'"After being induced, Shari gave birth her daughter, Hailey, at 12:57 p.m. A few hours later, Simone welcomed her daughter, Liberty, into the world at 5:30 p.m.
"The doctor said, 'We've got an issue. Your sister was induced, and I didn't expect her to go into labor until later, but she's eight centimeters dilated, and I'm going to have to take care of that,'" said Simone.on her father's birthday so he could share the day with his grandchild. Now, the whole family is busy celebrating, but Shari only has one goal in mind for the new babies:"I'm kind of hoping her cousin will be her best friend.
