Spy Photos: Aventador Replacement Breaks Downdiscovered a filing with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for a horn or vehicle noise for hybrid and electric cars. The filing contained a sound bite, published in the video above, of what the Lamborghini will supposedly sound like in all-electric mode. The playful, space-travel sound starts as a distant, mystical hum before rising to sound like a pod racer at full tilt.
We assume it'll be speed dependent, as most EV sounds are, but it's unclear whether this is just for inside the cabin or if this is also how the Lamborghini will alert pedestrians to its presence. Either way, it's an interesting sound, but far from the most important one the will make. We're looking forward to how it sounds when the engine is on. For that, we might have to wait a bit longer.
