Quick: First three words that pop into your head when you think “K-beauty.” Innovative? Above all. Playful? Yes! Effective? Sure. But how about: Clean? Yeah, me neither. Korea is known as a hotbed of beauty disruption — not so much a leader in clean and simple formulas or nature-sourced ingredients. ButLast year, I flew to Seoul and spent several days in Myeongdong, a shopping district whose streets are lined, in very large part, with stores carrying every beauty product imaginable.
After about 20 minutes in this skin-care boutique/greenhouse, I walked out with one of Primera’s best-sellers:. It feels like a cream , but absorbs like a gel and hydrates like a balm . Its moisturizing power is multi-pronged, with glycerin, squalane, urea, cocoa seed butter, and more in the mix. And its seed of choice?
