Thomas Rhett never took the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater stage Thursday night due to lightning as a result of thunderstorms in the area, but the show will go on later this year.
Sept. 8 is the Wednesday before the Alabama football team hits the road to play Texas in Austin this season.“I’m really, really sorry, but we’re not going to be able to do the show tonight due to severe lightning,” Rhett said in the video.
“Once again, so freaking sorry. I hate this. I’m literally on the bus ready to play,” he said. “Sometimes it’s how it works out. I love y’all. Thank y’all so much for coming out tonight. We will put on a heck of a dadgum show on September 8th. Thanks, Tuscaloosa.”
