6, 2022, threw out a lawsuit challenging a primary election recount lost by Peters who alleged voting fraud in her failed bid to become the state’s top election official. Following a two-day trial and several hours of deliberation, a jury made up of four women and two men, found former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters guilty of obstruction of a government operation but acquitted her of the obstructing a peace officer charge she faced.
