Eight-time Golden Globe winner and 15-time nominee Tom Hanks will be celebrated for his life's work and achievement in film at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards.
Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton will be filled with Hollywood's elite for the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, but one star will take home one of the highest honors of the night—Tom Hanks.
This year's award show will pay tribute to Hanks' many film achievements, which include not only eight Golden Globe Awards and 15 nominations but two Academy Awards as well. Hanks, who made his big-screen debut in the 1980 slasher flick,, will be given the prestigious Cecil B.
