Tony Valdez, a reporter and anchor at KTTV Channel 11 in Los Angeles for more than 35 years, has died. He was 78.
Valdez had been battling end-stage kidney failure and died at home, his son, Steve Valdez, told the station on Friday. A native of East Los Angeles, Valdez attended L.A. City College and served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at the local TV stations KCET and KTLA and the
